| Tehachapi’s cool winters and mild summers were ideal for a wide variety of apples that we still feature today. My brother and I went off to college, but we still came home weekends, holidays, and summer break to help with the farm. I received my degree in agriculture science and returned to the farm along with my new wife and oldest son, Grant. We soon added to our family with the birth of our younger son Eric. Raising boys on the farm was great! Imagine growing up with acres of trees, dirt, and critters…a boys dream. As the family grew, so did the need to expand our farm. We began growing a wider variety of fruits and vegetables and also began baking and canning the fresh crops. Along with the wide variety of jams and jellies, we also tapped into our German roots by making the best sauerkraut that you will ever eat. The baked goods are always freshly baked and full of freshly made fillings such as apple, strawberry, or peach turnovers and strudel. We also started selling at more farmers markets including Santa Monica, Long Beach, Ridgecrest, and Bakersfield. Now that the boys are grown and starting their own families, it is time to grow the farm as well. Grant is now the proud father of two beautiful girls who also enjoy the trees, dirt, and critters. We are expanding our crops to include more varieties of berries and vegetables and expanding our farm store here in Tehachapi California where you will always find our crops and products: Farm fresh from our family to yours | |
